Visitor Information

We are open to the public only on weekends. Morning slot : 10am to 1pm; Afternoon slot : 1pm to 5pm. Three hours is just about enough to cover most of our exhibits. Some curious folk can take three hours in just one room!

  • You can book both slots on the same day if you want to spend more time at the centre, especially for those traveling from out of town.
  • Tickets will be issued to all visitors from 3yrs and upwards.
  • Price of the ticket for all visitors is the same.
  • The same ticket cannot be used for multiple visitors.
  • There is plenty of parking available at the centre.
  • Most of our spaces are wheel chair accessible.

Age Groups

The campus is set up to cater to different age groups.

  • 3 to 7 years: Science Play Area with ball walls and building games, Fun Area with bubbles and water zones, and a treasure sand pit; A Tyre Park with climbing structures: An Animal Zone with turtles, guinea pigs and rabbits.
  • 8 and older: 5 Science Exploration Labs for hands-on experiments (on topics such as Light, Water, Mechanics, Electricity, etc…) and 2 science based Escape Rooms (designed with experts from IIT, IISc and Cornell).
  • 3 to 99 years: Dark and Illusions rooms with, fun interactive areas for all ages groups and great photo ops, Butterfly gardens, bee hives and aquaponics (soon to come). Fun shows and games for all age groups.

Activities

Over 300 hands-on exhibits across science, nature, and a whole lot of fun.

  • Science Exploration Spaces - designed with experts from IIT, IISc and Cornell (Ages 8 and above) : with 5 topic based science labs.
  • Illusions & Dark Rooms - mirror illusions and the shape-shifting Ames Room (All age groups).
  • Escape Rooms - "Death by Chemistry Mystery" and the Mirror Maze (Ages 8 to 18).
  • Animal Zone and Butterfly Gardens – with nature walks. (All age groups).
  • Fun shows – Both in the morning and afternoon slots the team does an interactive show with all the visitors. (All age groups).

Important Information

A few house rules that keep the visit safe and pleasant for everyone.

  • Guardians are responsible for their own and their children's safety, including their belongings.
  • All children 13 years and below, must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Children 14 and above can visit, but a guardian must drop them at the centre and leave their contact details and sign a form to relieve Curiouscity of all responsibility if left on their own.
  • The main restaurant – the Curio Table will be open from 10am–8pm.
  • A smaller snack café with tea and coffee will be open from 9am to 5pm.
  • We close for lunch between 1pm – 2pm
    No visitors will be allowed in the centre during that time,
    even if you book both slots.

Accessibility and Parking

Built to be usable by guests of every age and ability, with most areas being wheelchair accessible.

  • Ramp access, wheelchair-accessible restrooms.
  • Wheelchairs at the Welcome Desk, subject to availability.
  • Visitors of all abilities are welcome, our staff will work to help you.
  • Plenty of free parking is available, but for the best spots on busy weekends, arrive a little earlier than your slot time.

Cafe Options

  • We have a café outside for light refreshments.
  • The Curio Table Restaurant offers full meals and is not run by Curiouscity. Please leave them their own reviews.
  • Please do not bring any food inside the building.
  • If you have a medical reason that requires special food, please inform us at the front desk.
  • Please recycle all waste and dispose leftover food, cups & plates in the designated dustbins.

Explore the Curiouscity Discovery Centre floor map and plan your visit with ease! The map highlights exciting zones such as the Illusion Room, Dark Room, and the lively Khiladi Circle. Younger visitors can enjoy the Science Play Area (7 years and below), which includes the Tyre Park and Animal Park, while older children can dive into hands-on learning in the Science Labs (8 years and above). Science Play Area (Khiladi Circle): for ages 7 & below
  • Romp around in the Bubble Zone, Kids Fun Area, Animal Park or Tyre Park located to the right of the reception.
Science Labs (Sangam Circle): for ages 8 & above
  • Explore exciting science themed rooms around the Sangam Circle.
  • Read the posters at each station.
  • Help kids do the experiments themselves.
Escape Rooms (Sangam Circle): for ages 8 & above
  • Visitors are locked into a room and must crack fun science challenges to escape.
  • Maximum time limit of 30 minutes to escape.
  • Strictly for ages 8 to 18, & max of 8 people at a time.
  • Adults are allowed only if there are spots available
  • Fixed time slots & prior registration required (at the registration desk in Sangam Circle).
  • Participants must arrive at the escape room 5 minutes before the allotted time slot.
Illusions & Dark Room: for all ages
  • Explore mind bending illusions in the rooms behind the reception (& some areas in the corridors). Enter a Dark Room filled with all kinds of crazy exhibits with lights.
Special Shows (Auditorium): for all ages
  • Half hour fun shows / group activities will be held at 1:30 AM & 3:30 PM in Curiouscity Auditorium (Theatre), next to the café.
Butterfly Gardens (Outer gardens and Pond Area): for all ages
  • Grab a handout from the front desk or join a butterfly walk after the show – to find out all about the host and nectar plants that attract over 60 species of butterflies to our gardens, or witness the Blue Tiger butterfly migration in July and Sept each year (check out our instagram page for dates).

  • Please be polite when interacting with staff members.
  • If at the end of your slot any of our staff were extremely helpful, do ask for a blue token from the front desk (one per family) and give it to that staff member (but not if they ask for it).
TOILETS
  • Located in corridors on either side of the reception
  • Also located outside in the deck area, near entrance and in the restaurant.
  • Please do not throw sanitary waste in the toilets. It must be wrapped in paper and disposed in the red bins provided.
  • One toilet is available for wheelchair access visitors.
CAFÉ and Restaurant
  • We have a café outside for light refreshments.

INFANT FEEDING ROOM
  • Infant feeding room available on request at the reception desk.
  • Used diapers must be wrapped and placed in the red bins in the toilets.

  • There is sufficient parking on the campus, however if you want a “good shady” spot, please arrive early before your time slot.
ACESSIBILITY
  • We welcome guests of all abilities and will work with all visitors (hearing and visually impaired, and differently abled visitors). Built to be usable by guests of every age and ability, with most areas being wheelchair accessible.

Terms and Conditions

Conditions of entry

Your admission to Curiouscity Science Discovery Centre and usage of its facilities is subject to the following terms and conditions.

  1. Rights of admission are reserved at all times and you must produce a valid ticket to obtain entry.
  2. Your entry ticket is valid for the number of persons mentioned on the ticket for a one-time entry to the premises for a period of 3 hours and is non-refundable.
  3. All minors and wards must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  4. You, as parents and guardians, are responsible for both your own personal safety and safety of your children and wards including your personal belongings and personal belongings of your wards.
  5. Curiouscity is not liable for any injury or loss that may be sustained by you or your wards while at the centre or in the course of any activity.
  6. At the discretion of Curiouscity, you and your wards may be refused entry at any time, asked to leave and/or be physically removed from premises at any time, without any refund of ticket value especially on grounds of safety and/or rude or unruly behaviour.
  7. You and your wards must follow instructions given by the Curiouscity staff and cooperate with them.
  8. You and your wards must adhere to timings of the centre and vacate the premises once the centre closes for lunch or end of day.
  9. You are not allowed to bring food from outside into the main building or the auditorium.
  10. You are not allowed to bring into the premises any dangerous or hazardous substances including any prohibited items.
  11. Curiouscity has the right to inspect your belongings at the time of entry or at any time during your visit.
  12. The facility is subject to camera surveillance.
  13. This is a private facility and Curiouscity does not represent that you or your wards will be satisfied with the exhibits while however endeavouring to ensure that you and your wards will have an enjoyable and memorable visit.
  14. You and your wards may be required to produce a valid government ID or contact information and Curiouscity will have the right to retain, use, reuse, produce and share your personal information including filming photography rights of you and your wards during your visit and you and your wards specifically provide consent for the same. Copyright, if any, shall vest with Curiouscity.
  15. You agree to make good, compensate, indemnify and hold Curiouscity and it’s officers and employees harmless against any and all losses, costs, charges, inquiries and or expenses that Curiouscity may suffer arising from any violation of these terms and conditions by you or your wards.
  16. Disputes, if any, are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Bangalore and subject to Indian laws.

How long should I allow for a visit?

Typical visits run 2½ to 3 hours. Arrive early in your slot to make the most of it.

What's the recommended age group?

Kids Zone suits 3–7, Dark and Illusions Rooms suit 3–99, Science Labs and Escape Rooms are best for 8 and up.

Is food allowed or available?

The café offers snacks, tea and coffee. Our Curio Café Restaurant caters to full meals. Outside food isn't permitted unless there's a medical condition - just let staff know.

What are the timings for public visits to Curiouscity?

CuriousCity is open to the public on weekends, with two session slots:

  • Morning Slot: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Afternoon Slot: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
How do I book Curiouscity public tickets online?

You can buy tickets online through the official booking portal. Select your preferred weekend slot and complete the payment process.
